Iced Hojicha Latte
A few years ago, I discovered hojicha which is a Japanese roasted green tea and I haven’t been able to get enough of it. It is a mild tea with a slightly sweet and nutty flavour that comes from the roasting of the tea leaves. The roasting eliminates some of the bitterness that can be found in other teas as well as most of the caffeine, which makes hojicha a really enjoyable tea to have in the evenings or late in the day when you want to relax and slow down a bit. Hojicha is also known to help boost your immune system, increase your metabolism and keep your skin youthful. It’s a tea you can feel good about drinking all year round.
For the summer, we love this iced hojicha latte made with our favourite finely grounded hojicha powder from Hojicha Co (how many times can we fit in the word hojicha in one sentence?).
